  • PB Studio's work for Google's Top Contributors events in partnership with Cogs and Marvel

    Background:

Google reached out to PB Studio to collaborate with Dublin-based events company Cogs and Marvel on creating a cohesive set of marketing materials for their Top Contributors events, which were taking place in 12 major cities worldwide. The events were designed to recognise and reward the contributions of the top contributors to Google's online community and to foster a sense of community and collaboration among experts in various fields.

    Challenges:

Creating a robust suite of digital design material that would be readily recognisable across all 12 cities, languages and cultures.

Making sure the design was adaptable to different mediums, from print to stage design and digital marketing.

Creating materials that were on-brand for Google, yet distinctive enough to stand out from other events.

Meeting tight deadlines for the events in 12 major cities worldwide.

    Solutions:

PB Studio came up with the building blocks concept and carried out all the design work to create them as print and digital marketing assets.

In partnership with Cogs and Marvel, a Dublin based events company, they executed the building blocks concept to adapt and implement across various mediums like print, stage design, digital marketing and screens.

The building blocks were inspired by the idea of Top Contributors as the building block of the online community, and they were easily recognisable and adaptable to different cultures.

Cogs and Marvel took care of organising all of the events worldwide and worked closely with Google to ensure on-brand design, yet distinctive enough to stand out from other events.

The PB Studio, Cogs and Marvel Team put a strong effort on meeting the tight deadline by creating a project plan and dividing the responsibilities among different team members, also managing the communication with the client efficiently, which allowed them to deliver the materials on time for all events.

    Results:

The cohesive design created by the partnership was well-received by Google and the Top Contributors at the events.

The building blocks approach allowed the materials to be easily adaptable to different mediums and cultures, which helped to create a sense of unity across the 12 events.

The unique yet on-brand design created by the partnership helped the events to stand out and be memorable for the attendees.

Google was satisfied with the final results and praised the partnership team for meeting the tight deadlines and delivered high-quality materials.

    Conclusion:

The collaboration between PB Studio, Cogs and Marvel and Google was a success, thanks to the partnership team's ability to create a cohesive and adaptable design, while staying on-brand for Google. PB Studio took the lead on creating the building blocks concept and carrying out all of the design work, while Cogs and Marvel ensured the successful execution of the concept through all events worldwide. The building blocks approach allowed the materials to be easily adaptable to different mediums and cultures, which helped to create a sense of unity across the 12 events. The partnership team's efforts on meeting the tight deadlines, efficient communication and attention to detail helped to deliver high-quality materials that were well-received by both Google and the Top Contributors.
